'Garfield GO' Is Real, Exists On iOS And Android

' Garfield GO' Is Real, Exists On iOS And Android Here it is: the genuine article. We now have a true Pokémon GO knockoff in the form of Garfield GO, which I think everyone agreed was the next logical license to go with after Pokémon. It's the Garfield treasure hunting game we've all been waiting for, where the player hunts for coins out in the real world collecting hats, comic strips and other treasure, leveling up all the way. It's out now on iOS and Android in the US, Canada and Australia. We've seen at least one terrifying Pokémon GO knockoff before, but this one is a bit more together than that one. It's you might say, a little less polished than Pokémon GO. The map looks a little jankier, and the collection conceit doesn't work nearly as well with Pokémon around. The lack of Niantic's giant database of Pokéstops and gyms makes the world feel flat. Still, the bones are there. You throw lasagna at Garfield to collect treasure becaus...

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle looks like the crazy cartoon strategy game you didn't know you wanted

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is released for Nintendo Switch on 29 August There was a wonderful moment in Ubisoft's excellent E3 conference where David Soliani the director of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, a barmy crossover strategy game for Switch, broke down in tears. Here was a man so proud of his work that the moment of its reveal overcame him. Perhaps what makes this more extraordinary is that Mario + Rabbids is a game no-one thought they wanted. It combines Nintendo's famous plumber with Ubisoft's wacky creatures the Rabbids, possibly best described as the games industry's Minions (although the Rabbids came first in a 2006 Rayman spin-off). Love them or hate them, everyone tends to have an opinion. Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto and Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot as they reveal Mario + Rabbids The feeling was that it was a mash-up that didn't reflect well on Mario. The Rabbids not fit to button his dungarees. Yet another reason for Soliani...

E3 2017: Phil Spencer Talks Xbox One X Potentially Being Held Back By PS4 Deals Microsoft officially revealed the Xbox One X at E3 this week, providing a name and details for the improved Xbox One formerly known as Project Scorpio. It's more powerful than PS4 Pro, but game companies now find themselves in a position where they have to decide how to approach the improvements that are offered on Xbox One X as compared with PS4 Pro. We learned this week that Destiny 2 will run at 30 FPS on Xbox One X, just as it will on PS4 Pro. But it's unclear if that framerate is the result of hardware restrictions or because Sony, through its partnership with Activision, would not allow the game to run better on rival hardware. Head of Xbox Phil Spencer joined GameSpot today on our E3 live show to discuss this and much more. Regarding the potential for games' technical performance to be held back due to such arrangement, he noted that he was not aware of that specifically hap...

Sony unveils new God of War, Spider-Man and Uncharted games at E3 - watch the trailers Sonyon Monday showed off rich, action-packed new PlayStation 4 video games, some for virtual reality, as it defended its crown as the top-selling new-generation console. The company focused on blockbuster games and intriguing new titles for PS4 at a press event on the eve of the opening of the major Electronic Entertainment Expo here. There was no mention of the Xbox One X console unveiled a day earlier by rival Microsoft in a heightened challenge to PS4. "PlayStation is home to all the biggest and best game franchises in the world," Sony Interactive Entertainment worldwide studios chairman Shawn Layden said during a rapid-fire presentation of video trailers. The line-up included the first Uncharted game to feature a heroine in place of the Nathan Drake hero, a God of War sequel with a mighty father-son theme, and a pulse-pounding title starring Spider-Man of Marvel Comics fame....
